Join us as we celebrate the opening of museum’s newest original exhibition, Make Believe: The World of Glen Keane, highlighting the work of one of the most accomplished animators of Disney’s Second Golden Age. Keane joined the Walt Disney Animation Studios in 1974, where his first film was The Rescuers (1977). He is best known as the supervising animator for the Beast, Ariel, Pocahontas, and Tarzan. In conjunction with our members-only preview day, join Keane as he discusses the development of this exhibition, which highlights his work with Disney, his independent films, and his personal artwork. This exhibition will be on view until September 3.

About the Speaker

Glen Keane

A 38-year veteran of Walt Disney Feature Animation, Glen Keane trained under Walt Disney’s Nine Old Men. Keane went on to animate many beloved Disney characters, such as Ariel, Aladdin, Beast, Tarzan, and Rapunzel. In 2012, Keane departed Disney to begin Glen Keane Productions as way to further his artistic explorations in animation, design, and film.
